Magnetic Filters

For liquids and powders in pressurized pipes

Goudsmit magnetic filters can filter out small ferromagnetic (Fe) impurities – such as wear particles – from liquid mixtures and powders in pressurized pipes (up to 10 bar).

The powerful neodymium magnetic rods of the magnetic filters are placed within the product flow (in-line). This ensures optimal magnetic contact and filters out even the smallest ferromagnetic impurities down to 30 µm.

Magnetic filters are used in industries including the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, and chemical industry – for example, in milk powder, melted chocolate, pigments, or paint. They are also used in the ceramic industry to prevent the formation of “black spots” in glazes.

  • Optimal magnetic contact
  • Captures Fe particles from 30 µm
  • Max. 10 bar / 140 °C
  • Standard / food-grade / pharma versions
  • Equipped with neodymium magnetic rods
Magnetic Filter – Industrial – Manual Cleaning

Robust magnetic filter for industrial use without the risk of bacterial growth. It can filter out fine ferrous impurities – such as wear parts in stainless steel – from liquids or powder flows under pressures up to 10 bar. The filter is cleaned manually (“quick-cleaning”). The larger versions are equipped with guide rails so that the magnetic unit does not need to be lifted during cleaning.

  • Manual cleaning
  • Captures Fe particles from 30 μm
  • Inlet/Outlet: DN50-200 (EN1092-1)
  • Max. 10 bar / 140°C
  • Magnetic rods in extractor tubes (Ø23/Ø25mm 8000 gauss)
  • Finish: Sandblasted, Ra 3 μm

Magnetic Filter – Industrial – Pneumatic

Robust magnetic filter for industrial use without the risk of bacterial growth. The filter is cleaned semi-automatically, as its size makes it too heavy to handle manually. It can filter out fine ferrous impurities – such as wear parts in stainless steel – from liquids or powder flows under pressures up to 10 bar. It captures Fe particles from 30 μm.

  • Semi-automatic cleaning
  • Captures Fe particles from 30 μm
  • Inlet/Outlet: DN150-300 (EN 1092-1)
  • Max. 10 bar / 140°C
  • Magnetic rods in pneumatic tubes (Ø34 mm, 9400 gauss)
  • Finish: Sandblasted, Ra 3 μm

Magnetic Filter – Industrial – Double-Walled – Manual

Robust industrial magnetic filter with a double-walled housing to prevent coagulation of viscous products such as melted chocolate. A warm liquid flowing through the double-walled housing prevents the product from solidifying. The filter is cleaned manually – “quick-cleaning”. It filters out small amounts of ferrous impurities from 30 μm – 2 mm, such as wear parts in stainless steel, from liquids and powder flows under pressure.

  • Manual cleaning (“Quick-cleaning”)
  • Double-walled housing
  • Captures Fe particles from 30 μm
  • Inlet/Outlet: DN50-100 (EN1092-1)
  • Max. 10 bar / 60°C
  • Magnetic rods in extractor tubes (Ø23/Ø25mm 8000 gauss)
  • Finish: Sandblasted, Ra 3 μm

Magnetic Filter – Industrial – External Pole

This is a highly robust magnetic filter suitable for filtering out larger quantities of ferrous impurities ranging from 1-50 mm in coarse materials. The filter can handle higher capacities under pressure, such as pulp in the paper industry. The magnets are positioned externally on the product channel, allowing for unobstructed product flow where larger product components can pass freely past the rods.

  • Manual cleaning (wiping)
  • Captures Fe particles from 1-50 mm
  • Magnetic quality N-35, 6000 gauss on the contact surface
  • Flanges DN100-250 (EN 1092-1)
  • Max. 10 bar / 60°C
  • 2 plate magnets externally on the product channel
  • Finish: Sandblasted, Ra 3 μm
