Bullet magnets

Goudsmit bullet magnets are equipped with a large cylindrical magnet core, positioned at the center of the product flow. They filter out medium to large iron-containing impurities from coarser materials in high-capacity gravity chutes systems.

The magnet’s shape ensures smooth flow and high separation efficiency. Permanent bullet magnets are manually cleaned, while electromagnetic pipe magnets are cleaned automatically.

Bullet magnets find applications in industries such as bulk, feed, plastics, recycling, and ceramics.

  • Ferrite or electromagnetic core
  • Max. particle size 50 mm
  • High capacity (up to 550 m³/h)
  • ATEX II 1/2 D available as an option
  • Manual cleaning (wiping) or automatic cleaning (discontinuous)

Permanent bullet magnets with a robust cartridge-shaped ferrite magnetic core. Suitable for filtering out medium to large iron-containing impurities from high-capacity gravity chutes systems in coarse bulk products. Often used for items such as bulk goods, animal feed, plastics, ceramics, or recyclable materials. They have a lower profile compared to electromagnet pipe magnets. They are manually cleaned.

  • Equipped with a ferrite magnet
  • Captures Fe particles from 0.5 µm
  • Manual cleaning (wiping)
  • Overall installation height 420 to 1300 mm
  • ATEX II 1/2 D
  • DN 100-600 mm
  • Capacity 10-550 m³/h

Electromagnetic bullet magnets with a robust cartridge-shaped electromagnetic magnetic core. Suitable for filtering out medium to large iron-containing impurities from high-capacity gravity chutes systems in coarse bulk products. Often used for items such as bulk goods, animal feed, plastics, ceramics, or recyclable materials. They require a control box, which makes the installation height somewhat larger compared to using a permanent bullet magnet. They are cleaned automatically.

  • Electromagnetic
  • Captures Fe particles from 0.1 mm
  • Automatic cleaning (discontinuous)
  • Overall installation height 950 to 2433 mm
  • ATEX II 1/2 D as an option
  • DN 250-600 mm
  • Capacity 100-500 m³/h
